(this is not meant to minimize our struggles) most of our problems are both real, and , only in our heads. inside the head is often where things go wrong first. But the mind only knows what you tell it.

what good is a body if you are too depressed or anxious to use it? too in pain?


what good are your lungs if you cannot stop smoking or vaping?


what good is going to the gym everyday if you cannot control your food habits?


what good is the manicure if you cannot stop biting your nails?


what good is a holiday if getting on a plane makes you physically ill?


what good is education if your imposture syndrome means you stifle your own potential?


what good is your talent if your confidence is so low you cannot preform, even for yourself?


WHAT GOOD IS A FUTURE IF YOU CANNOT SEE IT?

these are all very real problems, with very real consequences and delays and unwanted mental patterns. But, they are also, only in your head. Yes, these could be learned behaviours that stem from trauma and they are totally real protection measures, comforts, and at some point, likely served as very necessary coping mechanisms. However, if you are seeking hypnotherapy, perhaps you’ve decided that this is no longer the case.

Hypnotherapy allows for gentle access to your subconscious mind. The process feels more like a mediation and less like the stage tricks you might think of when you hear the term hypnotherapy.

During a session, you are safely lead into a hypnotic state and you are in control, awake, but deeeply relaxed. In this state of calm, we are able to gain insight into your mind and tweak or remove the unwanted tension that has been holding you hostage. That habit, that mindset, that debilitating fear or phobia. Having hypnotherapy myself I have experienced and sustained the incredible benefits of this process. I have stopped vaping, gained the confidence to speak in public (my biggest hurdle that I have had my entire life) and kicked a crisp habit. All with great, confidence inducing, success.

In my experience, the reason hypnotherapy is so effective is two fold -

Firstly, you are not restricting or working against yourself. You are finally able to work with yourself and your desired goals.

Working against the Self looks like binge eating, even when the true Self actually wants to have control.

Working against the Self looks like smoking everyday, even when the true Self is consumed with thoughts quitting.

Working against the Self looks like shrinking, even when the true Self is big, bold, and knowledgeable

Secondly, you feel empowered by the result - which keeps you on track. You didn’t take a drug or start another yo-yo diet or just swap one bad habit for another. You are empowered because you broke the chains by yourself with only the soft intervention of calm. Effectively, you had a word with yourself and quietly decided to change your mind.

If you are looking to work on mindset, habit or addiction, starting with 3 sessions is required. This is to ensure a duty of care on my part, to instil a sense of accountability on your part, to track progress, and to introduce new techniques. No two individuals are the same and it is vital to get to know you and your mind. this takes time. Often when working with addictions, habits and mindsets, we are needing to address and untangle life long conditioning. this also takes time. Like all talk therapies - the more we know, the more we grow.

If you are looking to work on something such as fears or phobias, great work can likely be achieved in one 60 - 90 minute session.
